Great Oaks Career Campuses
Choices & Challenges Student Conference
OPPORTUNITY: This career exploration program brought 8th-10th grade students from across the Cincinnati Metropolitan Region onto a college campus to experience a series of hands-on sessions with college faculty—representing areas such as Business Technologies, Innovative Technologies, Health and Public Safety, Humanities, and Sciences.
RESULTS: Every year from 1999 to 2013, Fran Kick helped kick-off this unique collaborative event. Fran set the tone for the entire day and engaged the students with a developmentally appropriate networking activity. Messages included paying attention, responding appropriately to the opportunities available, as well as putting more into what you do and how you do it.
